Musculoskeletal & Chronic Pain

Various conditions or acute injuries can lead to aches and pains of the body; some of which lead to chronic pain conditions. Pulsing through our bodies is blood and a lifeforce which brings this blood to our muscles and bones. Pain results when there is a disruption with this circulation of lifeforce and distribution of blood. There may be many causes for this disruption and Chinese Medicine always seeks to restore this flow whilst addressing the root of the pain.

Pain also has an undeniable relationship with the mind. Pain is a perception of the mind, and the mental state is equally affected by physical pain. The power of Chinese Medicine is its therapeutic effect on the mind. At times, experienced pain has less to do with a musculoskeletal or physical diagnosis than with the state of the mind and the dangers from which the body is intuitively protecting itself.
